Totem B, 2022, Oxidized concrete, stainless steel, and rebar, 108 x 76 x 8.5 inches

Totem Triad was conceived in the mountains of East Los Angeles in 2021, materialized in Brooklyn in the Spring/Summer of 2022, and installed at The Aurora Highlands, Colorado, in the Fall of 2022. The intent of these three sculptures is to create a sacred space for inner reflection. With an emphasis on material, texture, and the landscape they inhabit, the totems are Brutalist in nature, and an ode to the Mono-ha “School of Things” in spirit.

Victoria's Secret, 2018, Concrete, stainless steel, ash and enamel, 108 x 24 x 24 inches

Victoria’s Secret is a public sculpture developed from concrete, fire and stainless steel. It was inspired by the concrete road blocks around Denver, Colorado. The road block was first burned, and in efforts to encapsulate a crucial stage in transformation, the natural soot and markings from the burn were sealed onto the structure. The stainless steel wings reflect the sky as emblems of a spirit reborn/released from the flame.

Uprising, 2019, Canvas, acrylic, wood and aluminum, 120 x 120 x 80 inches

Uprising is a performance piece conceived and completed in 2019 between downtown Los Angeles and Joshua Tree, California. Heavily inspired by the extreme nature of a recent helicopter-ski trip in Alaska, Uprising is an effort in finding a balance and letting go. The performance involves the blindfolded painting of a 10 by 10 foot canvas in Solberg's downtown LA studio and it's burning in the desert.

Talk To Yourself (Budapest), 2017

Talk To Yourself I (Denver), 2018

Talk To Yourself III (New York City), 2022

The more I listen to Great Nature, the more I become her, and ground myself in the knowing that my purpose is to resacralize the relationship between her and us. The healing could take centuries, but the flame must be lit in order to carry. I feel her in frequencies- keep your feet on the ground, witness the signs, the magic, and the truths that keep coming. We will learn to revere her again. I intend to imbue a semiotic connection within the trifecta- my art, our people, and nature. Something deep and everlasting. I am guided with her gravitational grace. From here I choose to embody the Earth and speak my voice.

I remember

I am the star shooting, still

I am the river flowing, full

I am the lotus risen, pure

I am the flame which is discerning

I am the blade which is knowing

I am White Horse Running.
